The
First Peter Gabriel album includes everything from blues, a barbarshop,
a symphony and some classic tunes like Solsbury
hill. It also features such artists as Steve
Hunter and Robert Fripp on Guitar,
Tony Levin on bass (and on later albums on
stick) and Bob Ezrin producing. My personal
favorite for PG with such tracks as morbimund the
burgermiester and here comes the flood
(which he has rerecorded many times with alt versions appearing on Fripps
album Exposrue as well as a different version on Gabriels album Sixteen

The
second installment of the Peter Gabriel line is a more american sounding
disc produced by Roberrt Fripp (king crimson).
While Gabriel plays few tracks from his first two albums live this one
features some classics with DIY, White Shadow, Exposure
(which was later redone on Fripps albume "exposure" ) and most
notabley, ON THE AIR.Digitally

I
think the 3rd Peter Gabriel album is most known for his song BIKO.
This album is soft and hard. It has an almost King Crimson flavor at times.
Some of the songs are very abstract and the production is great. There
is also a version of this album in which PG has rerecorded all the vocals
in German. Kate Bush Guests on Vocals as
she does later on his album SO.Digitally remastered 2002
Security
was to be the 4th ablum that was seft titled but PG's Label thought otherwise
and gave it a title. Known for SHOCK THE MONKEY
and I HAVE THE TOUCH this album features
some very mystifying tracks such as THE FAMILY AND
THE FISHING NET. However, this all digital recording was not produced
very well and sounds a bit flat. Digitally

Peter
Gabriel completes and era by putting out a live album from his SECURITY
tour. Featuring unreleased tracks like I GO SWIMMING
and great performances of DIY and ON THE AIR
this album has recently been remastered and is a great collection of live
